Holiday Spirit

{Porter's First Santa Encounter}

We went to a party that Porter's Early Intervention Service Provider invited us to. The theme was the polar express and it was a lot of fun. It will be even funner when Porter can actually appreciate it. The invite said to wear PJs so I did, but I think I was the only adult wearing them...I tend to get overly excited about pajamas. Santa gave Porter a book and put it right in his lap. Porter grinned and started slapping it because he wanted to read! Santa was very impressed and gave him a check for the "Nice" list.

{I cropped the photo so you can see P's face. He really was very excited.}

{It sparkles, it shines, it means it Christmas Time!}

Our tree has been up for a few weeks now but I can't stop looking at it. It turned out lovely this year. We used all of our glass icicles because we know next year it will be too dangerous to use them.

I had to put this one in because it's 75% of my day lately. Porter's new favorite past-time is blowing raspberries! I love the way he does them he sticks his tongue out, starts to blow, and pushes his chin down into his chest. When he does this his chubby cheeks push up and he gets these dimples by his nose also making creases that go up under his eyes. It's so cute in person.

What a sweet boy! I am so bummed that we missed the EI party! I don't know if we are in the same group, but ours was Tuesday evening. I don't know how it slipped my mind, but sadly, it did. Glad you're enjoying the holiday!

I'm so excited to spend my first Christmas with Porter! Meg forgot to mention that Porter scored at a 6 month development level on his 6 month early intervention test! Good job buddy, I'm so proud of you!

Meghann, you don't know me, but I'm a friend of the Bonners. I just had to comment about a couple of things. First of all, it's obvious your mother was a Thorn Birds fan like me, because I have a daughter named Meghann! Even though you have to totally spell your name out every time, it still is the RIGHT way to spell it! Haha.

Second, your little Porter is absolutely darling! I wish you all the best with his health and development. You really are blessed to have him as part of your family.
