A Thanksgiving Prayer

All month long all I can think about is how blessed I am! I'm go grateful for so many things and each day there is at least one moment where I stop and thank God for something wonderful in my life. Here are some of the things that have taken my breath away recently.

  • The Moon, I guess it didn't look as cool at other locations, but Aaron and I were out the other night as the moon started to peek over the horizon. It was huge and golden as it's light etched out the mountains. It was beautiful!
  • My best friend who gets me...Aaron. He reloaded my iPod for me as a surprise and he created the best collection yet. Are you ever shocked when your husband knows you better than you do? I guess after almost 6 years together it shouldn't surprise me, but it's just cool!
  • Our dog. He make me so happy!
  • A family's love. The way my Mom loves me, the way my little sister and I talk for hours, or my brother always being able to get me to smile. I'm so impressed with how we all can come together during the Holidays or anytime. It's nice to know I'm loved, cared for, and when I need support it's right there. Aaron's family is the same way, they are always there for us when we need them, or just for a hug.
  • A child's ability to love. My class is amazing and I have the most darling kids. Teaching has taught me one thing more than anything else. Children accept love, need love, and will always love you back. Sure it might not come in the forms of love you want, like glaring at you because you corrected a behavior, but honestly that's a great kind of love. Aaron and I have talked about adopting at some point in our lives because I really believe you can change a little life for good through your love of a child.
  • Lastly, the little moments. Aaron and I just got our piano delivered to our house. We are so happy to have it here because he plays while I sing. It's simple, but it "comforts my soul deep down inside". Little moments like that where we are together, that's the best!
I know I'm early but I'm so looking forward to my personal all time favorite holiday where we give Thanks for our abundant blessings!

I'm Being Redundant

This is the song I can't get out of my head. This is not the best dancing scene in the movie but the music dancing combination is my favorite. Vera has to be the best dancer of all time, she's incredible in this movie. I have to laugh at myself anything with a beat, music, and dancing in it I just love. I have to get to Mom's soon so I can watch the movie and get it out of my system. YouTube clips aren't the best way to watch a movie :) I should probably own this one.

Dreaming of a White Christmas

So, it's officially a sinus infection. Wonderful right, but now I can hopefully start to feel better. My doctor in Logan is so use to me getting sinus infections that I just have to call, explain my symptoms, and he'll call in the antibiotics. Beautiful! Heres to breathing again!

But speaking of cold, something strange is happening to me. I'm excited about the Holidays. Don't get me wrong I'm always excited for them, but I try not to get excited too early. I went outside the morning after the first snow all bundled up, with the sun shinning, and cold crisp air filling my lungs. I was thrilled with the season, just so happy!

Also peculiar for me, November 1st I'm walking through Wal-mart and turn down the Christmas section, to quickly realize they're playing Christmas music. I wasn't annoyed, not at all! In fact there was this warm tingly feeling deep down inside. What has come over me?
I'm hoping it's not too soon to watch White Christmas and make pie with my Mom. I keep singing the song anyways might as well pull it out.

New School New Antibodies

As teachers we're always talking about building up the right antibodies for your school. Every teacher I've talked to says it takes about 3 years to have the right defenses built up before you stop getting sick. But each school has different antibodies, nurses say the same thing about hospitals/ clinics. I went to see my doctor so much in Logan that I had this conversation several times with different nurses. We'll I'm pretty sure this new school has already got me. I don't feel good and a few of my students have been missing the past couple of days due to illness, so I'm wondering if I have what they have. Not only do I have to go through this, but Aaron always catches what I've got every time. With strep he catches it before I do, because I'll have it and not even notice anymore. I really need to go see the doctor because it's getting worse, and I'm thinking it might be strep because my throat started hurting this morning. The only problem is we haven't found a doctor yet in this area. Anyone know a good doctor in West Jordan? Or any good methods for finding a new doctor?

In Other News

This weekend was crazy, crazy, crazy. I worked late on Friday trying to get a schedule put together for class. Then the next morning we headed down to St. George for Grandma Harris' 80th birthday bash. We had a really good time! It was definitely worth the trip. I love Aaron's Grandma so much, she's an amazing woman, and whenever I hear about her life I feel so inspired. She's a great example to me. With all important events...we forgot the camera. Unfortunately for us we had to drive back the same day so we could be back in time for Steadman's baby blessing. I thought I would just sleep the whole way home because I was starting to feel sick, but I actually couldn't sleep. So, I kept Aaron awake by singing every Disney song I could think of. He He :) Which reminds me I need to rent Beauty and The Beast, my lyrics are getting rusty. Steadman's blessing was a very special event and we were glad to be there. After the blessing though I just got home and crashed. Aaron finally got me out of bed to watch a movie with him. We watched "Freedom Writers" and I loved it.

This is kinda' long sorry. Love Ya--Meg
