Gelter Family Baseball Night

With the disappointing end (at least for us-our beloved Tigers chocked) to the World Series I just wanted to quickly share some of the fun we've had celebrating the series at our house.  One Friday I took the kids to the Zoo and Aaron felt so left out because the kids and I had so much fun.  He asked, "What can we do to have fun tonight?" I was racking my brain to come up with something we hadn't ever done before but also not spend a ton of money.  I asked Aaron if he would enjoy a baseball night and told him we could prepare ballpark food.  He seemed fine with that but still jealous that it wouldn't be as fun as the zoo.  Little did he know, I planned to make it a little better then just food.  I did some simple things to make for a themed evening of fun that all 3 of my children enjoyed. (Aaron is like a kid when it comes to baseball.)

Food: $7.00
Tickets for a blanket in the backfield: Free
Mini Baseball Field: Gifted to us by Grandpa Randy- Free
Fountain Drinks $3.50
(I wanted it to be authentic so I sent them on a gas station run while I busted to get all the food ready for a grand surprise before they got back)

Not a bad family night for $10.50!!!

We  cheered, played some ball, enjoyed the junk food a bit too much and then had a pillow wrestling match complete with giggles.

We're thinking this will have to be a new Post Season Tradition at our House.

We Love Baseball!  Hope you enjoyed the series as well!
