Digital Scrapbooking

I like to scrapbook, but I think digital scrapbooking would be so much more fun. So I'm asking, Does anyone know how to learn about this? Where to start? Where to take a class or something?

Holla! I have become the biggest digital scrapbooker!!!

Since you are a fellow Linux user, you have GIMP - and it's all you need. I didn't start by taking classes (I attended that UTOSC one, but that didn't teach me a lot of NEW stuff, just a few things), I just started by messing around with it. And that's all you need! Well, except for the free paper and embellishments... But all you have to do is search for "free digital scrapbook paper" or anything similar and there will be several sites that pop up. My personal favorite is shabbyprincess.com.

If you have any questions on getting everything organized, I'm sure Aaron knows how.

If not, or if he's busy, I will gladly show you. Tim and I set up several folders - Links to Fonts, Paper, Embellishments, etc...

It's lots of fun, so let me know what you find!

Oh, and now is a good time to start using Gimp. They just released version 2.6 which makes a lot of enhancements in the interface so that it's more intuitive. They also added some cool new features...
