...Spending a little time with a favorite book.
This morning I was reading "Where the Sidewalk Ends" by Shel Silverstein and found a new favorite in the 30th anniversary special edition poems.
DON'T TELL ME
Please don't tell me I should hug,
Don't tell me I should care.
Don't tell me just how grand I'd feel
If I just learned to share.
Don't say, "It's all right to cry,"
"Be kind," "Be fair," "Be true."
Just let me see YOU do it,
Then I just might do it too.
{Maybe that's why Porter likes the laundry SO much? Look at how blond that hair is!}
Please don't tell me I should hug,
Don't tell me I should care.
Don't tell me just how grand I'd feel
If I just learned to share.
Don't say, "It's all right to cry,"
"Be kind," "Be fair," "Be true."
Just let me see YOU do it,
Then I just might do it too.

I am a huge Shel Silverstein fan. Many a truth is shared in his creative rhyme.
love it. Where the side walk ends is classic. I haven't busted out my Shel Sylverstein books for years, and then when I started at Thomas Edison I brought them to have my kids that stutter read. They loved them and it was a little blast from the past :).
Love this! His hair sure is getting blonde!
