My First Project For Porter

This morning I got up and headed out to my parents to spend the day sewing with my Mom. We had such a good time and made some really darling receiving blankets. I thought I would share so have a look:

Where we began. This is just my stack of flannel my Mom and I ended up swapping pieces to make some better combination.
This was the first blanket we made and by far the most difficult! One piece of fabric had more cotton in it than the other so we fought with lots of puckers but I don't think Porter will noticed when he's all wrapped up in it. Turtles are my favorite and I've actually had this fabric for 2 years now. Hooray, for finally getting to use it!

Here is Daddy's blanket designed especially for his little man! I went to pick up some more flannel and Aaron picked this out. The picture doesn't do it justice, it's stinkin' cute!

I had so much fun today actually working on something for our baby boy. He'll be here so soon and I can't wait to meet him!
