Breaking Dawn... Every time I pick up something from the Twilight series my life gets consumed. I'm still trying to finish up A Tale of Two Cities, however, I haven't touched it for the last 4 weeks since we got Sydney and started pushing to get our house finished. I thought I could wait for once and enjoy this one later, but everyone keeps talking about it. I would hate if the book was spoiled because I accidentally heard some thing. I have a one track mind when it comes to novels; I try to finish my current read before picking up another. I'm starting to feel that this may be a flaw, I have. Do I : stop & return or finish & begin. Hmmm....Think...Think... Think... Those of you who have or are reading it what do you think? I know you're out there!p.s. I might, no I would, be sacrificing getting my home set up if I start reading Breaking Dawn.

I got the book yesterday and since I am trying to get my dissertation finished, I had to read it in one day. It has like more than 700 pages. Though I have to admit that I skiped almost the entire second book that is written from Jacob's perspective. I have to say that I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything. I had skipped big parts of New Moon as well and that worked out great, too. Anyways, about the book: the last third of the book is easliy the best, although bella totally changes and she is nothing like in the first few books. It's like they are two very different characters and I didn't really like that. But then Bella has always annoyed me somehow. She just does stupid things and has irrational thoughts that I don't understand. Thus, I usually wouldn't act as she does which makes me like the books less. The main idea of breaking dawn is okay (I can't say anything better as of now), but there parts of the book where I just totally though "This is the stupidest book I have ever read" and wanted to through it across the room. 700 pages and very little story was my first thought when I was finished. I kinda feel like she is wasting time by writing about bella's thoughts all the time and then 5 pages later the actual story line picks up again. Well, that's all I can say for now. YOu should really read it, Meg! (and I am not saying this because I love these books. I have a strange love-hate relationship with the twilight saga) Let me know what you think. Oh and by the way, I hope you didn't forget about my dissertation, plaease, please, please...
Love, Annelie
